May-August schedule and listener preferences
Hello,
We're rolling along til start of May on the current schedule.. everything got pushed back a week because of the missed show, so I'll be doing the Portugal show in the first week of May in order to allow April to be all Spain. This means I'll be wrapping up Japan this week and then doing Australia and New Zealand the rest of March. I was wondering if there are any countries people would like to hear in the Summer. You can see what shows I have been doing by going to the show web-site at www.toib.net/radio/ps/ The other question I have is regarding "listener preferences". Some weeks I talk more and give band histories and the like, such as was the case with Iceland. Others I just play the music without worrying too much about it, for example this past week's show on Japanese symph. I was wondering if anyone has a preference about what format they prefer. It kind of varies by my mood, but if people have ever wondered "I wish he would talk more" or "I wish he'd shut up", this is a good time to let me know so I can fine-tune the show. Regards, Sean

Scot/Ire, "English" Canada, modern Japan
I like hearing band info, as long as it's kept to like, 2-3 minutes. As for countries, I'll reiterated the Celtic shows of Scotland and Ireland:
Marillion, Billy Mahonie, Mogwai, Iona, Clannad, etc.... ...and maybe an "English" Canada to go with the "French" Canada you did recently: Rush, Godspeed You Black Emperor!, Do Make Say Think, A Silver Mt. Zion, etc.... ... and a modern Japan (I don't know as much here): Rovo, Date Course Pentagon Royal Garden, etc....

I will look into Scotland and Ireland for the Summer timeframe.
I am done with Japan and Canada for now... I want to avoid repeating stuff that I've done too recently.

Sean, I am sorry to say that I missed your Canada shows :-(
And these were the ones I expected to hear so much. I listened to your Greek shows last year and as there were no new ones (because your move), I did not check back and now when I did (in February) I discovered to my utter disappointment that I missed these. Is there a chance for rebroadcast? |

Oh, I'm sorry. That stinks. We should be able to do a rebroadcast at some point, or perhaps I can hook you up with the shows.
Regards, Sean
