Re: COTM #72 - Live Classics
Be careful what you ask for...
In your first show, you mentioned that "stuff" after 1989 wouldn't be eligible, but in fact, many of our favorite dinosaur bands have recorded several excellent live concerts after said marker. Of these, there are many examples, and some standout because of the lineup or even just the energy that comes through in the recording. While I could do like YesSpaz and list of all of PFM's live albums, I'll suggest Live in Japan 2002 as an excellent "recent" representative recording.

Re: COTM #72 - Live Classics
Thanks again everyone for the suggestions. All great stuff.
For Mooniverse, I am trying to stay with the early phase of prog classics, so I'll be choosing shows recorded prior to '85. Please, that is NOT a choice of quality - just a time-frame from which I want the show to focus on. Now, there are new albums of old shows and those could be eligible. If I should so wish, that is. ![]() But I really want to get a feel of what some of your favorites are. So shows recorded from 1968 but prior to 1985. Released prior to '85 is best, but as I said, there are new tapes of old shows coming out that deserve a listen (and some that should have stayed in the vaults). ![]()

Dale,
How about Jean-Michel Jarre's Concerts in China? Regards from Texas, Ted |
