In my estimation, it's more the singer/songwriter thing. I didn't find anything too preachy. Quiter songs usually beget "spritual" vocals. As I listen to more music, I actually find I'd prefer to hear that message.

It's difficult to sing about Lucifer with an acoustic guitar, unless you're a country artist.

The only song that stuck out lyrically was the Katherine...cause it's about a redhead.
