I'm quoting myself here to illustate a basic point: it's not his fault he's been elevated to such status. Same thing with Springshit and Tom Petty and Bob Dylan and Buffett. "Everybody Must Get Stoned" or whatever the hell that song is called is one of the most unlistenable pieces of garbage I have ever heard, yet it's beloved. Let's put the onus on the real problem, the yuppies that keep this stuff going.

I really don't think Neil Young gives a rat's ass about how he's perceived. That's the bottom line here.
