Welcome to Progressive Shores

We are very proud to announce a great new show on Aural Moon - Progressive Shores, with host Sean McFee.

This musical tour of the seven seas and two hemispheres of progressive rock will be our new feature on Thursday nights, 9-11pm ET, starting April 17.

Sean:
"For many people, progressive rock is only about England in the
1970s. What those people don't realize is that the influence of
the Beatles and the progressive mindset spanned all parts of the globe, with many cultures offering their own take on the progressive rock ideas and philosophy. Progressive Shores is a show dedicated to touring the world and unearthing some of this music. Countries from Europe, the Americas and elsewhere, eras from the 70s to the present day, from styles that closely resemble progressive to those that share only a forward-looking aesthetic, each week Progressive Shores will focus on something different, in order to share new ways of looking at music with the progressive-minded."

About your host:
"Sean McFee is a Canadian citizen living in the suburbs of Chicago. A fan of progressive music of all kinds for many years, he killed time during University by pursuing a Minor in music (mainly history), and had a progressive rock radio show with local community station CKCU. Nowadays he is the editor for Expose Magazine in charge of reviews, as well as a contributing writer to the Ground and Sky review web-site. He was a chief organizer of the ProgDay festival for 2001 and 2002 until a severe pollen allergy forced him to retire, and now devotes his spare time to battling dust mites for control of his vinyl collection. Although a superhero at night, by day Sean is a mild-mannered software engineer for CommWorks Corporation, the leading manufacturer of CDMA wireless data equipment."
