Ice music
This is a little bit off-topic, but probably interesting to some anyway:
"In early February 2001, Terje Isungset went to The Ice Hotel in JUKKASJÄRVI , North Sweden, to record the first ever all ICE music CD. All instrument were to be made from ice. (shaped by ice-sculptors Bengt Carling, Arne Berg and Åke Larsson in cooperation with Isungset) A number of percussion instruments, as well as ice harp and ice trumpet! (played by Terje Isungset, Iro Haarla og Arve Henriksen, respectively)" http://home.online.no/~isungz/is.htm -Methem |

Re: and they play?
Yes, obviously they play, to some extent at least. http://home.online.no/~isungz/isCD.htm has some sound samples from these "instruments".
It's not really music, just soundscapes. And the trumpet and harp sound pretty pathetic ![]() -Methem |
