I've got "Music In Twelve Parts" sitting next to me, and when I feel up to the task, I'm going to listen to it again and decide which parts, if any, I'm going to keep on the playlist.

This was sort of an experiment on my part gone wrong. I do like Philip Glass, at least some of his stuff. But, Music in 12 Parts is not truly a piece of music. To quote the liner notes, it is "a deliberate, encyclopedic compendium of some techniques of repetition..." I did not know this when I bought it. I had heard a few 30 second sound clips, and most any 30 second portion of this 3 disc set (!) sounds pretty good, IMO. When I received it and listened, I was, um, surprised. I put it on the station to see what responses we'd get. What I've found is most specific responses to "12 Parts" are negative; many general responses to Glass are positive or at least neutral. If the only Glass you've heard is something from 12 parts, please, at least refrain from a final opinion until you hear something from "Glassworks" or "The Photographer", both also on the playlist. If you've heard those and don't like him, I respect your opinion.

I'll post again when I've made my final decision, and keep the comments coming!
