This wasn't and or isn't a real policy. George did
grandfather seats to some of the original patrons of the festival. It was a nice gesture to show apppreciation for those that helped the festival from year to year.

Nearfest may be a different story. With Banco and Discipline and Echolyn, tix will be a challenge.

FWIW, the first real sellout for NEARfest was the year Hackett headlined.
They moved from the Zoellner to the Patriot Theater in Trenton.
I've talked extensively with George about the Keswick. There is no intent to fill the theater. He'd be overjoyed if it was filled but that is not their goal. The goal was a better stage and facility with more seats. About the only gig I've seen at the Keswick that was a real house filler was The Musical Box doing The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. I thought Porcupine Tree would sellout the Keswick but it was only 70%-80% filled.
I am happy it is moving to the Keswick. It's a much more comfortable theater. We'll have better stage conditions. ...and there's a real side and back stage so I may be spending a lot of time there.
