Adrian Belew

Discovered in a club in Texas by Frank Zappa (who was impressed with how badly he played the harmonica), Adrian Belew is probably best known around here for his work with King Crimson. He has contributed to work by artists such as Joan Armatrading, David Bowie, The Talking Heads and Brian Eno to name just a few. He has released many solo albums since the early 1980's and continues to do so from his home studio in the Nashville area. An accomplished drummer as well, his music can be at times very reminiscent of The Beatles and even Roy Orbison, and at other times can take the listener far into outer space.
